Round 4 - Results

Results from Match Day 4!

The Gunners come into the San Siro and battled Milan to a well deserved 1-2 away victory. The Italian fans were very vocal in their displeasure of the non-call on the apparent penalty to Pato in the box as he was obstructed enough to loose the ball in the closing minute. Kaka's last second blast from the top of the box sailed over the bar as the whistle blew to give Arsenal top spot in the SCL for the moment.

Game #2 was the highly anticipated match up of United hosting the very hot lads from West London. In a match up of the league's top offense and defense, Chelsea won this round. Actually scoring all the goals in this 1-3 match (an own goal putting United on the board in the first half) the boys from Manchester were stymied all evening as they struggled to get past the vaunted back line of the Blues. Will United be able to make the proper adjustments in a few weeks when they play the follow-up at The Bridge?

The final match of the evening was the West Londoner's again this time hosting a struggling Munchen squad. The Germans battled hard but could not come up with the solution to this puzzle that is Chelsea. The home squad looked in full control as it finished its doubleheader with a 3-0 win.

Plenty of interesting matches all around. As you can see from the table on the right rail, Chelsea and Arsenal are top of the table with Chelsea getting the nod with a better goal differential (a very impressive +11). Milan falls to third, United and Bayern maintain 4 and 5.
